In anticipation of the upcoming June event, the London Concours has revealed exciting plans to showcase the most extravagant and captivating automobiles of all: hypercars.
In collaboration with Apollo Capital, the exhibition will assemble the esteemed masterpieces that have consistently redefined the boundaries of performance, engineering, and design, captivating countless car enthusiasts along the way. These hypercars will take center stage at this summer’s event, scheduled to take place from June 4th to 6th at the prestigious Honourable Artillery Company venue, nestled in the heart of London.
Highlighted within the Hypercar exhibit this June will be a vehicle that captured the imagination of British car aficionados like few others: the renowned Jaguar C-X75 prototype. Introduced in 2010 and developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, the C-X75 represented a vision of the future in hypercar design—a cutting-edge, all-wheel-drive, plug-in hybrid machine. Its powertrain featured a Formula 1-inspired, all-aluminum 1.6-liter, turbocharged, and supercharged four-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 502bhp at a remarkable 10,000 rpm. Complementing this beastly engine were a pair of high-performance electric motors, providing instant torque and enabling pure electric driving for up to 60km.
With combined outputs reaching 850bhp and 738lb/ft of torque, the C-X75 concept boasted staggering performance figures—accelerating from 0-60mph in under 3 seconds, 0-100mph in under 6 seconds, and achieving a top speed of 220mph. The showcased car, featured in the James Bond film “Spectre,” has recently undergone road legalization by CALLUM, the prestigious design firm led by Ian Callum, a close friend and partner of the Concours. Notably, it stands as the sole roadworthy C-X75 in existence, representing a pinnacle of British engineering excellence.
