New McLaren 750S. 0-200 km/h In 7.2 Seconds

The McLaren 750S takes the super sports car to the next level. More dynamics. More technology. More control. More driving pleasure. The McLaren 750S is both the most powerful – and the lightest –series-produced McLaren model ever.

Finally have the details of the new McLaren 750S – which comes both as
coupé and spider – released from the factory. And the news is impressive.
The new 750S, which has been designed and engineered after careful analysis by
The McLaren 720S, combines a range of technological advances in terms of everything from powertrain performance to aerodynamics and weight savings. About 30
percent of the components in the 750S are either newly developed or
modified to accelerate the driving experience to the next level.

With all the carbon fiber and lightweight options selected, the coupé model weighs
dry only 1,277 kg. New 10-spoke and ultralight rims, as well shell seats in carbon fiber, are among the many weight-saving options.
The low weight is a key factor for the car’s enormous performance, which
guaranteed by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an output
of 750PS and a torque of 800 Nm. The result is that the 750S
clears 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.2 seconds
(7.3 seconds for Spider).

McLaren’s Proactive Chassis Control, renowned for precise driving control
combined with extreme compliance, shifts up to yet another level with
PCC III. Updates to both passive and active parts in the new
generation system provides even sharper suspension performance, which
favors ride comfort, roll control, steering feedback and cornering balance.
The track width at the front has been extended by six millimeters, at the same time as McLaren’s
electrohydraulic steering received faster steering exchange.

“To make a car, already described by so many drivers as a benchmark, even better, you have to examine every detail and really push for improvements that raise the bar again. That’s what we’ve done with the new 750S. The low weight, The performance of the V8 engine and the car’s outstanding dynamic capabilities combine here to deliver a driving experience that reaches new heights,” said Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive.

The McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) is a new McLaren technology that debuts on the 750S, adding another dimension to the driver’s ability to interact with the car. Pressing a McLaren Speedmark-designed button activates MCL, which allows the driver to personalize their driving experience by storing tailored driving preferences – the favorite combination of aero, handling, powertrain and transmission settings.

The interior of the 750S combines exclusive materials in Nappa and/or Alcantara leather with new and innovative technology, where the driver is even more in focus. The driver-centric display is mounted on, and movable with, the steering column and on each side there are controls for driving settings in Comfort, Sport or Track Active Dynamic. McLaren’s audio partner Bowers & Wilkins has developed a completely new sound system for the 750S, with a more powerful amplifier and proprietary Continuum speakers, to complete the experience.

The carbon fiber monocoque, together with ultra-thin A-pillars and glazed C-pillars (in the coupe model), enable almost 360-degree visibility and welcome the spread of natural light into the cabin. The V8 engine can also be seen from inside the cabin via a double-glazed window, which exposes the top of the powertrain behind the driver’s shoulder. The retractable roof in the convertible version of the 750S Spider – Retractable Hard Top (RHT) – can be equipped with dynamic glass for additional light. Furthermore, the RHT can be opened in less than 11 seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 50 km/h.

Visually, the 750S refines its predecessor’s design with, among other things, a new lower nose section with an extended front splitter, and narrower air intakes that surround the headlights. At the rear there is a larger wing and a new stainless steel exhaust system delivers an even more distinctive sound. Already as standard, the car has carbon fiber ceramic brake discs, but as an option there is also an upgrade with 60 percent stronger discs. Those planning a lot of banking can also opt for track-focused Pirelli P ZERO Trofeo R tires and lightweight titanium wheel bolts.

The McLaren 750S, which can be ordered now, is ready.
