Starting August 6, four of Sweden’s most boundary-pushing designers will take center stage at the breathtaking Norrviken Gardens in Båstad. The exhibition In the Weave of Creation invites visitors into a world where sculptural fashion blends seamlessly with nature, as designers Bea Szenfeld, Frida Jonsvens, Martin Bergström, and Linnéa Samia Khalil each interpret the spirit of the gardens through their own creative lens—with nature as both muse and collaborator.
Set against the lush, historic backdrop of Norrviken, In the Weave of Creation is more than an exhibition—it’s a sensory journey through the creative process, from concept sketches to final works of art. Each designer explores how fashion can exist in harmony with the natural world, transforming the gardens into a living canvas of form, color, and imagination.
Bea Szenfeld: Sculpting in Dialogue with Nature
Known for her intricate paper creations, Bea Szenfeld sees nature as the ultimate designer. Her work for this exhibition is rooted in a reverent dialogue with the environment.

“Nature has already invented everything. For me, it’s about listening—folding, shaping, and creating in tune with this extraordinary place,” says Szenfeld.
Frida Jonsvens: A Tribute to Nature’s Forgotten Beauty
Frida Jonsvens brings her signature bold colors, voluminous silhouettes, and sustainable ethos to the gardens. Drawing inspiration from wild natural forms, she incorporates upcycled materials and experimental textures.

“This dream project has allowed me to honor the beauty of the gardens while creating with minimal impact. It’s about blending sustainability, creativity, and forgotten treasures into a celebration of both past and future,” Jonsvens explains.
Linnéa Samia Khalil: Redefining Fashion in Nature’s Embrace
Khalil sees fashion as a platform for challenging conventions. Known for her experimental silhouettes and narrative-driven designs, she finds freedom in Norrviken’s natural setting.

“Creating in a place like this allows me to push the boundaries of what fashion can be. It’s about exploring shape, material, and the stories that clothing can tell,” she says.
Martin Bergström: Patterns of Time and Nature
With a practice rooted in myth, transience, and historical reference, Martin Bergström works across mediums—textiles, metal, paper, and glass. His contribution to the exhibition reflects the delicate balance between the cultivated and the wild in Norrviken’s gardens.

Inspired by the garden’s fusion of order and wilderness, his work explores how pattern relates to the body, time, and space.
