Article No. 84995, SEK 22,499).
Distilled in 1984 at the Clarendon Distillery in Jamaica and bottled in 2024, this 40-year-old rum underwent 35 years of tropical aging in bourbon casks, followed by 5 years in Ferrand cognac casks in France. This dual-aging process creates a distinctive complexity. Bottled at cask strength (57.2%), the rum boasts a rich, aromatic profile with balanced tannins and elegant flavors, reflecting the craftsmanship of Jamaica’s southern distilleries.
To enhance its rarity, the rum comes in a handcrafted wooden box containing a 70 cl bottle and a 3 cl sampler, allowing tasting without opening the main bottle. The packaging features intricate details, including a cork made from repurposed cask wood and a medalion crafted from the original rum barrel, each hand-engraved and numbered.
Planteray Clarendon 1984 is a collector’s dream, a testament to rum’s artistry and history.
