LIFT Aircraft, a prominent Texas-based company, recently made a significant announcement, showcasing the successful completion of nine high-profile demonstration flights featuring their state-of-the-art HEXA eVTOL aircraft in Osaka, Japan.
This noteworthy event was made possible through strategic partnerships with Marubeni Corp. and GMO Internet Group. The purpose of these demonstrations was to prepare for the highly anticipated 2025 World Exposition in Osaka, where eVTOL aircraft are expected to captivate audiences. Notably, the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) granted official approval for these demonstrations following meticulous inspections of the aircraft and plans. It is worth mentioning that these pioneering demonstrations marked the debut of piloted eVTOL flights in Japan, as opposed to the EHang 216, which has previously conducted unmanned flights in the country since June 2021. Building on this success, LIFT Aircraft has planned additional HEXA demonstrations in Niihama and Imabari, two vibrant cities situated on Japan’s scenic Shikoku Island.
